Kama Sutra

kama sutra sexRegarded as the oldest “sex manual”, the Kama Sutra is the most famous erotic work from India. Its reputation was made by Sir Richard Burton the renowned 19th Century explorer, who translated the erotic sections of the book into English. His translation has been criticised both for its inaccuracies and its omissions, the Kama Sutra being a much larger work that admittedly does contain significant erotic content.

64 positions
Sensationalised as an erotic manual containing 64 different positions its reputation has stuck. In many ways that theme is still with us, with many women’s and men’s magazines proclaiming the latest sexual position. The Kama Sutra has become something of a “brand” and a byword for erotic gymnastics.

Sexual progress: From 2.5 to 5.5 minutes in 60 years
Elsewhere on the site we refer to Kinsey’s original research back in the late 1940s which revealed that for 75% of American males sex took 2.5 minutes or less. Even recent research puts the experience at an average of 5.5 minutes for couples in the western world. And there lies the conflict: the Kama Sutra describes 64 different positions while the average couple make love for only 5 minutes. Put the two together and that’s about 5 seconds for every position. So something is amiss.

Some get more sex, some get less
What’s clear is that unless the Kama Sutra is a complete work of fiction, some lucky couples experience far more erotic lovemaking than could be achieved by the average couple in 5 minutes. Logically some men must be capable of making love a lot longer than the average, whether that’s men today or back in the time when the Kama Sutra was written. So how do some men last longer and what do they do? Is it all about different sexual positions?

Check out this site
This site explains how men can last longer using Penetrative Foreplay and the Orgasm Switch. We explain how Orgasmic Triggers work and how they’re key to giving multiple orgasms. And we also explain the Freeze, the most powerful Orgasmic Trigger, and that’s available as a free pdf from this site. 64 positions aren’t necessary but don’t let us stop you experimenting.
