| We all have basic animal needs... |
Our primal needs include food, water and shelter. Sex and companionship run a pretty close second. When animals have enough food and water, sex is usually pretty high on the agenda.
A male mammal typically wants to impregnate females, and as many as possible. Male human behaviour has a modicum of culture on top but many males still have a powerful drive for sex.
Primal needs can mean quick sex
Considering the animal kingdom as a whole, sex is a mechanism for the best genes to appear in the next generation. From a purely reproductive point of view, the quicker the male can get the sex act over with and impregnate the female the better.
Some animals have very quick sex, a male pigeon fluttering on the branch above a female takes but a few seconds for example. The human male could be equally brief, but as so much pleasure can be had from sex it seems a shame that something so wonderful can be over so quickly: hence the development of www.lovemakingforum.com to encourage couples to "make time in their life to make love"!
Making sex last longer
Just because sex is a primal need, particularly for the male, doesn't mean it needs to be over quickly. Once a man learns to think of the pleasure of the journey (making love) rather than the excitement of the destination (orgasm) it opens up a new world of pleasure for him and his woman. If the man is going to have his orgasm anyway, why the rush? For men (and their partners) who want more pleasure out of lovemaking we recommend looking at Penetrative Foreplay as an approach, together with the Freeze.
Problems?
If the man wants to last longer but is climaxing much too early, we recommend the section on Premature Ejaculation.
